Oh No! How Can I Heal Sunburn Fast?

Oh No! How Can I Heal Sunburn Fast?

You've had too much fun in the sun, and you forgot to use sun protection resulting in a sunburn on your face. What can you do to speed the healing process and to minimize the damage? Follow these steps!

My first go-to is LED. It works wonders to speed the healing process. I chose the combination of InfraRed/Red/Yellow for a reason in my handy-dandy TriLight LED handheld device. This combo provides the most beneficial LED for healing skin and reducing inflammation. Used together for 10 minutes on clean skin can help skin heal from a sunburn.

Infrared penetrates deeply and stimulates new cell growth to help the body detoxify and this includes reducing the free radicals that occur from sunburn. The yellow LED reduces any swelling, redness, and inflammation.

Red LED is also an excellent choice for reducing inflammation. Inflammation is the most dangerous issue when dealing with sunburns. If there's rapid inflammation in the area of your burn, this could potentially lead to long-term sun damage. That's why I use LED to get inflammation under control.

UV rays can break down collagen and elastin, two proteins that keep skin strong and healthy. After you've used LED on clean skin, spritz with lukewarm water and apply NeoGenesis Recovery to support the healing process. The stem cell released molecules in this formula prompts skin to product collagen and boosts the reparative process in skin. Skin recognizes the ingredients in this product which makes it highly effective for healing skin.

To ease the sting of sunburn and to reduce peeling, apply HydraLift Conducting Gel & Mask as soon as possible. The aloe vera, azulene, and green tea in this nourishing gel will cool the skin, promote healing, and further reduce inflammation.

Apply HydraLift Conducting Gel & Mask in a generous layer and leave on skin for 10-15 minutes. Gently wipe off any excess. No need to rinse. Follow with your favorite moisturizer.

The best way to protect skin is using sunscreen with a SPF factor of 50, in addition to ingredients that block both UVA and UVB rays for the most protection. That's why I love Dr. Esthe Sunscreens. Plus, I'm doing more than protecting my skin from sunburn, I'm also giving my skin ingredients that promote aging gracefully. Win-win!
