Key Points:
- What Matrixyl 3000® is and its scientifically proven results.
- How this powerhouse peptide rejuvenates your eyes and neck.
- What else you can do to smooth and lift these thin-skinned areas.
Matrixyl 3000® is a powerful peptide and key active in the CBE Botanicals Eye + Neck Lift Cream and CBE Botanicals Renew + Hydrate Multi-Action Moisturizer. It’s a non injectable-alternative that’s scientifically proven to reduce deep wrinkles by 44.9%! I’ve paired it with antioxidants, extracts, and acids to rejuvenate and repair skin. Don’t let the name limit you, as you can also use it to smooth, lift, and firm your brow.

When I say the Eye + Neck Lift Cream is remarkable, I truly mean it. I understand how tricky these two areas are to treat once deep lines sink in. Also, how much your eyes and neck age you. Aging is beautiful, but I want to support you in feeling confident and comfortable in your skin. So, if your wrinkles have etched into your neck, forehead, or on the sides of your eyes—this is the cream for you.
WHAT IS MATRIXYL 3000®
This proprietary active is a combination of 2 peptides: Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. These peptides do more than stimulate collagen production, they work together to mimic the natural skin repair process. In addition to boosting cell turnover, they improve skin texture and enhance hydration to achieve non-injectable and non-surgical smoothing and lifting.

When applied 2 times a day for 2 months, the Matrixyl 3000® alone delivers a:
- 14.4% reduction in roughness
- 16.6% lifting effect
- 44.9% deep wrinkle reduction
SYNERGISTIC ACTIVES
If you know me, I’m all about multi-tasking skincare products formulated from concentrated premium ingredients. This cream is no exception.
Here’s what else it contains:
- Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): ALA is a biological antioxidant that energizes cells, reduces inflammation, and fights oxidative stress.
- Vitamin K: Helps to erase vascular conditions such as broken capillaries, the redness of rosacea, and dark under-eye circles.
- CoQ10: An energizing nutrient found in mitochondrial cell membranes that enhances skin repair, increases hydration, and improves skin tone.
- Arnica Extract: Better known for soothing pain, arnica firms skin, improves texture, stimulates collagen, and contains regenerative antioxidants.
- Shiitake Mushroom Extract: A staple in Traditional Chinese Medicine that promotes skin renewal, supports collagen production, and increases hydration.
HOW IT’S DIFFERENT THAN BOTOX
I 100% understand if injectables are part of your anti-aging routine. I’m here to help you elevate and extend your skincare outcomes with or without injectables. Popular injectables can relax facial contractions so that your face doesn’t wrinkle. Matrixyl 3000® prompts your skin to renew and repair, improving skin elasticity and reducing the depth of wrinkles. You can use both at the same time.
WHERE TO USE
Cleanse skin and massage into the following areas at least once a day.
- Under-eyes
- Crow’s feet
- Neck
- Jawline
- Forehead
WHAT THE EYES AND NECK HAVE IN COMMON
The Eye + Neck Lift is formulated to address deep wrinkles on the thin and delicate skin around the eyes and on the neck. The skin on your neck is about 40% thinner than the skin on your face, and the skin on your eyes is about 5 times thinner than the rest of your face. Since thinning skin gets crepey and lax faster than areas with thicker skin, and skin thins with age, wrinkles increase, and blood vessels become more apparent.
Being thinner, heavy creams can’t penetrate and absorb into the delicate skin around the eyes and on the neck. With proximity to the eyes, products must be fragrance-free and gentle so that they don’t cause eye irritation. Eye + Neck Lift Cream is fragrance-free, gentle, and effective. It replaces your AM and PM neck cream or eye cream, or you can just apply it in the evenings.
THE EYES
The eyes really are the windows to your soul. They express your emotions and help you connect when you engage with friends, family, and everyone you interact with. What begins as dynamic wrinkles that only appear when you express yourself, slowly sink in to create all-day static wrinkles. So, don’t forget to smile at yourself in the mirror every so often to see how your wrinkles are progressing. Yes, you may see yourself often when video chatting, but you’ll get a clearer view in the mirror.

Between expressing yourself and blinking, you contract your eyes up to 19,000 times per day. Maybe more. This slowly etches lines and wrinkles into your face. The answer isn’t smiling, laughing, or emoting less—it’s keeping your face moving so that your facial muscles stay strong. Then, combining movement with massage, anti-aging devices, and concentrated topicals.
THE NECK
I’ve seen this so many times. A client invests all their attention on their face, but they forget their neck. At some point, they look down to find the contrast between how fast their neck and décolleté are aging to be impossible to ignore. This presents as any combination of laxity, neck bands, crepey skin, and lymphatic fluid buildup.

Eye + Neck Lift is one of my top actives for lifting, firming, and smoothing the neck. But the neck is tricky, especially if you have neck bands, so you must be patient. And you must not reserve neck treatments for your facials. Just like your eyes and face, I combine massage, devices, and concentrated topicals for advanced restoration.
TECHNOLOGY AND YOUR SKIN
When I started as an Esthetician, most clients could wait until their late 30s or early 40s to begin treating their necks. As a Master Esthetician with 25 years of hands-on experience, I’ve seen firsthand how technology use impacts our skin. With the rise in tech neck and text neck comes a rise in premature neck aging. Today I suggest applying anti-aging products from the neck down beginning in your 20s and elevating the anti-aging actives at the first signs of neck bands.
Hunching over a computer or mobile device accelerates neck creases, bright screens increase squinting, and the blue lights of electronic devices accelerate aging in all exposed areas. Monitoring screen brightness, wearing blue light filtering glasses, and turning the blue light filter on in all devices are the first steps. And even if you’re working from home in your pajamas, wash your face and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen to block blue lights. Don’t forget to reapply every 4 hours when indoors, and every 2 hours when outside.
Release Tech Neck
Almost all of my clients have overly tight sternocleidomastoid muscles (SCM) caused by head-down electronics use. The SCM muscles run along the sides of your neck, under the ears. Neck muscles shorten when you spend hours a day with your head down. Combined with tight SCMs, this pulls your entire face down. Poor neck posture also causes premature neck bands and occludes lymphatic fluid in the neck and jaw. Not to mention the physical pain of a constantly sore and tight neck, shoulders, and chest.

Improving your posture and ergonomics is a must, but neither is enough to release stuck fascia and tight muscles. Especially if you’re years-in to technology-related tension. I suggest incorporating daily neck and shoulder stretches and a weekly DIY neck massage.
DIY NECK MASSAGE
This video will get you started. If your SCM muscles are tight, it’s going to be tender. Apply grapeseed oil first for comfortable slip and glide. You can also use a Gua Sha device to get a bit deeper into your fascia, but I still advise hands-on massage to release your SCM. If you’ve got a lot of fluid buildup, your jawline and neck will quickly slim and contour. You can go from puffy to svelte after your first DIY neck massage.
DEEPER EYE AND NECK TREATMENTS
In addition to applying the powerhouse peptides and reparative actives in the Eye + Neck Lift Cream, I suggest investing in a spa-quality anti-aging device. When I complete a facial on my clients, I use at least 2 devices, but if I had to pick just one device for you to use at home—it’s the Time Master Pro. With regular use, this all-in-one at-home skincare device continually prompts collagen, elastin, and cellular regeneration. It plumps out wrinkles, tightens skin laxity, smooths skin, neck and evens skin tone. I’ve seen a single LED wand reduce dark circles by 70%. This device can do the same and more!

Treatment only takes 10 minutes twice a week, 5 minutes on each side of your face. A bit longer if you’re treating your neck and décolleté too. I use two devices at a time to accelerate treatment, but one device is all you need at home.
