This blog post will address questions about the proper operation of the Clareblend Mini. When you run into issues, or you’re just not getting the results you expected, there are a few things I recommend you do – the first is DON’T GIVE UP!
Please know, it is highly unlikely your Clareblend Mini device is defective or that your skin cannot respond to microcurrent. Thousands of devices are sold every year and when there is a problem, 9 times out of 10, it is not a defective device.
It is my pleasure to help you learn how to operate the Clareblend Mini properly so you can achieve wonderful results.
First, the Clareblend Mini does not have an on/off button and there is NO BATTERY. It is always on when plugged in. You will know it is on because you will hear beeping. It cannot beep if current is not flowing. It is off when unplugged.
Periodically check to make sure it is still plugged in. If you are using an AC adapter (USB to AC) and it is not a snug fit, it can become loose as you use it. It’s easy to reach for something or turn around to talk to someone and not notice it is partially out of the plug or is no longer completely plugged in.
USB POWER: I prefer to use it with a USB Power Bank. You can pick one up for a few dollars at any big box store or on Amazon. You can also plug the USB directly into a USB port on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
Do NOT plug it into a FAST CHARGING USB cell phone adapter. That is too much power and will burn up the device.
Microcurrent needs water/moisture to conduct the current onto your face. You MUST use a water-based conducting medium on a CLEAN FACE with the Clareblend Mini or it will not conduct well. You may use the gel that came with the Mini or simply use MINERAL water - but keep the face damp at all times.
Do NOT use DISTILLED water as many of the minerals have been removed from distilled water, and minerals improve conduction – if you use water. You can find my favorite conducting gel here.
After you have cleansed your skin, you can use OIL-FREE products that contain minerals like the Triple C+Gold Serum, or an OIL-FREE hydrating mask like Exoderm Bio Cellulose Mask - with the Clareblend Mini, and then apply conducting gel or MINERAL water.
BEEPING SYSTEM – The beeping indicates the beginning (single beep) or end (double beep) of a hold and lift movement– – – but here’s the thing – – – you MUST operate it in SYNC with the beeping system or it becomes erratic.
It is still conducting and is not broken when it beeps erratically. You just need to stop and reset it. Unplug and plug it back in. Wait for a single beep upon touching your face with the probes.
The Mini will beep even when not touching anything. The probes are sensitive to moisture in the air, or it may have product still on the probes. It is NOT broken.
Download the Clareblend Mini Guidelines in case you have lost or misplaced yours. Read it and re-read it often.
The guidelines is using a LIFT & HOLD TECHNIQUE at the end of each movement.
YOUR FACE MUST BE MOIST TO CONDUCT CURRENT.
TIP #1: I recommend applying the conductive gel (or mineral water) only to the immediate section you’re working on to avoid drying before you are finished working.
I like to keep a spray bottle of mineral water handy for that purpose. Again, you will need to keep the area you're working on MOIST to conduct current onto your face.
TIP #2: IMPORTANT
TIP# 3: Never - never - never use OIL-BASED products with the Clareblend Mini as it will damage the probes over time and prevent good conduction. This means OIL is listed in the first few ingredients. Lower down the ingredient deck there is likely not enough in the product to stop conduction.
