This blog post will address questions about the proper operation of the Clareblend Mini. When you run into issues, or you’re just not getting the results you expected, there are a few things I recommend you do – the first is DON’T GIVE UP!
Please know, it is highly unlikely your Clareblend Mini device is defective or that your skin cannot respond to microcurrent. Thousands of devices are sold every day and when there is a problem, 9 times out of 10, it is not a defective device.
It is my pleasure to help you learn how to operate the Clareblend Mini properly so you can achieve wonderful results.
First, the Clareblend Mini does not have an on/off button and there is NO BATTERY. The on/off happens when plugged in or unplugged. It is always on when plugged in. You will know it is on because you will hear beeping. It cannot beep if current is not flowing.
Periodically check to make sure it is still plugged in. If you are using an AC adapter (USB to AC) and it is not a snug fit, it can become loose as you use it. It’s easy to reach for something or turn around to talk to someone and not notice it is partially out of the plug or is no longer completely plugged in.
USB POWER: I prefer to use it with a USB Power Bank. You can pick one up for a few dollars at any big box store or on Amazon. You can also plug the USB directly into a USB port on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
Do NOT plug it into a FAST CHARGING USB cell phone adapter. That is too much power and will burn up the device.
Microcurrent needs water/moisture to conduct the current onto your face. You MUST use a water-based conducting medium on a CLEAN FACE with the Clareblend Mini or it will not conduct well. You may use the gel that came with it or simply use MINERAL water - but keep the face damp at all times. Do NOT use DISTILLED water as many of the minerals have been removed from distilled water, and minerals are required for good conduction – if you use water. This is my favorite conducting gel here.
After you have cleansed, you can use OIL-FREE products that contain minerals like the Triple C+Gold Serum, or an OIL-FREE hydrating mask like Exoderm Bio Cellulose Mask - with the Clareblend Mini, and then apply conducting gel or MINERAL water.
BEEPING SYSTEM – The beeping indicates the beginning (single beep) or end (double beep) of a conducting session – – – but here’s the thing – – – you MUST operate it in SYNC with the beeping system.
Not following the beeping system means it will beep erratically. It is still conducting, and it is not broken. You just need to stop and allow it reset by waiting for a single beep before touching your face with the probes.
Download the Clareblend Mini Guidelines in case you have lost or misplaced yours. Read it and re-read it often.
Following the movement guidelines as indicated in the instructions, you will use a HOLD TECHNIQUE at the end of each movement.
YOUR FACE MUST BE MOIST TO CONDUCT CURRENT.
TIP #1: I recommend applying the conductive gel (or mineral water) only to the immediate section you’re working on to avoid it drying up before you are finished working.
I like to keep a spray bottle of mineral water handy for that purpose. Again, you will need to keep the area you're working on MOIST to conduct current onto your face.
TIP #2: IMPORTANT
TIP# 3: Never – never - never use OIL-BASED products with the Clareblend Mini as it will damage the probes over time and prevent good conduction.

Have you applied a product and immediately following your skin feels a bit sticky or tacky? Did you think the product wasn't working? This article clarifies why a product would have a sticky (not greasy) sensation after application and why it's actually a GOOD THING.

You know I seriously seek out products with active ingredients that produce results. Last week we talked about Poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA), now we’re going to take a look at Growth Factors in skincare products. You are going to be so excited about the benefits of this powerful ingredient.
Growth factors sounds sort of spooky. Right? Let me demystify what they are how to use them. First, they are NOT growth hormones. They are perfectly safe - and - are part of the human body.

Understanding how PLLA (poly-l-lactic acid) works is important to knowing if it is something you want to include in your skincare routine. If you've been following me for any length of time, you know I'm not a "fad" follower. I go with the science and investigate first hand to know what works and what doesn't.
Let's look at a brief history of PLLA, how it works and what a PLLA skincare routine looks like, before we explore who would, or would not, use PLLA.
